Oldy Moldy is 17!!

Kona(the one on the left) is 17!!. I adopted her 7 years ago from the pound when I was volunteering there for a spay day. She was on the euthanasia list because she was too old ( they estimated 10-12) and too ugly to adopt out. She had been up for adoption for 2 weeks and no one wanted her. So I adopted her, got her teeth cleaned and got her allergies under control.

She has been diagnosed with lymphoma and cushing's disease. All she ever thinks about is eating. She is almost completely deaf and blind and she has a huge tumor in her neck.

Last week after we got back from the groomers (or as Addie calls it, the barber) she jumped out of the back of the Jeep and knocked herself out. She would only walk in circles for about 10 minutes. Then all of the sudden she was back to normal. We call Kona "The ever lasting Dog". She has survived so much!

Of coarse Addie planned another party for her and she LOVED it! She loved the cake so much... she singed some of her hair off her face and ate a candle. Just prior to this Kai humped her and fell off the table. Dog parties are very wild!
